First Timers

Is Bikram Yoga right for you? Not to worry! Yoga is NOT just for the fantastically flexible. In fact, if you are not flexible, if you cannot touch your toes, or perhaps cannot even see your toes, you are a perfect candidate for the benefits of yoga. Bikram Yoga is a beginner series and you can do it.

First-time students or students new to our studio should arrive at the studio at 15 minutes prior to class to register. We carefully review your registration form with you to ensure a good experience in your first class. Please give yourself adequate time to register, check in and relax before the start of class.

  • Please bring a large towel, a hand towel or wash cloth, a yoga mat (if you have one) and a large bottle of water. Bring an extra towel if you plan to shower.
  • Wear light, comfortable clothing. Shorts, tank tops, sports bras/tops and swimming trunks (for men) work best. Avoid long pants (including long yoga pants), heavy T-shirts, or sweats as the room is heated by intention.
  • Come to class on an empty stomach.
  • Come to class hydrated.
  • Come to class ready to sweat, work hard and have fun.

The asana room (classroom) is a quiet space for healing, working and relaxation. Please . . .

Dragor hotel roomsAfter class, take time to cool down, drink plenty of water and relax. Come back the next day, even if you are sore. You will start to see changes, results and benefits after just a very few classes. How quickly you progress will depend entirely on you -- upon your natural ability to a small extent, but mostly upon the honest time and effort you give to your yoga practice. It will have little to do with how perfectly you can do the poses. Few of us ever do the poses perfectly. Perfect is the best you can do with the body you woke up with this morning. Listen carefully in class, try the right way and little by little you will see your body coming into balance.
