The Hurricane High Teenage Republican Club is planning a fund-raising dinner for January 27th. The dinner is $25 per person and will be held at Sleepy Hollow Country Club in Hurricane. Governor Underwood will be the honored speaker. The next meeting of the Putnam County Republican Club will be January 11th. The meeting will begin at 7:30 in the County Commission Chambers of the Courthouse.

Delegate Lisa Smith was recently nominated for the Good Housekeeping Magazine's annual "Women in Government Award." She was nominated for the award by three of her constituents in Mason and Putnam County. Congratulations Lisa!
