The Dinner was a success.
The Governor was late due to a severe storm in Washington DC, where his plane was grounded, but the people in attendance willingly awaited his arrival by auto at 7:15pm. Senate Minority Leader, Vic Sprouse was unable to attend.
All in all things worked out fine, and the Governor along with those in attendance enjoyed the evening.
Governor Underwood met with each of the folks individually, immediately following the closing. The TV media also remained throughout the entire evening.
UPDATE! UPDATE!
The Harrison County Republican Executive Committee held a special meeting on June 30. The purpose of the meeting was to select delegates to the State Convention in Charleston on July 14 and 15.
During the meeting, due to the resignation of the Chairperson Nancy Scardina, Richard "Dick" Laughlin was appointed as thenew Chairman.
The HCREC would also like to welcome aboard the new membersto the Executive Committee. Marion Kniska; Earl Young andGary Bailey.
The next Regular monthly meeting of the Harrison County RepublicanExecutive Committee will be held August 9, 6:30 pm at theBenedum Civic Center.
All regular meetings are held the 2nd Wednesday of eachmonth.
